Jean Hoerni

Jean Hoerni was the inventor of the planar process, a process through which transistors could be made out of silicon, as opposed to the usual germanium. He made this discovery after he and seven others, known as the Traitorous Eight, left Shockley’s Semiconductor Lab and create the Fairchild Semiconductor corperation. He died on January 12, 1997 in Seattle, Washington of mylofibrosis.

Fun little flag design thing

I had to make something in paint that represents my personality. How does this represent my personality you ask? It's symmetrical, and I have a small case of OCD when it comes to symmetry in things I make, my favorite color is purple, and I pride myself in the random things I know, showing this by also using a gold(-ish) color, gold and a dark purple being colors commenly used to represent royalty.

So, here's my first blog post 'n stuff
